Rockstar’s Extended Look premiered on Netflix on August 27 and reached YouTube that evening. It runs about 27 minutes, captured in-game on PlayStation 5, less than three months before the game’s November 19 release. The trailers showed Leonida’s police in cutaways. This is the first time we see them the way a player will: in the mirror, with the wanted meter climbing.
We filed 28 sightings of emergency vehicles, more than Trailer 1 and Trailer 2 put together. Twenty-two of them come from one stretch of a little over two minutes, a chase through downtown Vice City.
Outside the bank (13:39 to 13:51)
The police scene starts quietly. From the driver’s seat of a car, we look across at a branch of Fleeca, the bank chain from GTA IV and GTA V. White patrol cars already wait on the street around it. They wear the white and dark blue of the Vice City Police sedan from Trailer 2. Twelve seconds later one passes behind us with its blue lights on, framed in the rear window.
The chase (14:00 to 14:41)
At 14:00 the getaway car pulls out and the pursuit begins. A masked passenger sits in the back with a rifle, police lights fill the rear window and a cruiser runs alongside.
From here, almost every unit wears the same black and white, with POLICE in bold white letters: Vicebeach Police. Two vehicles carry it.
- The cruiser has the long, low body of the Dodge Charger Pursuit sold from 2015 to 2023. It is in almost every shot, with 12 sightings in this video.
- The pickup wears the same paint on a full-size crew cab with a push bar. Its proportions point to a Ram 1500, the truck behind GTA V’s Bravado Bison, which never had a police version.

At 14:02 a police helicopter comes in low over the street, and the shooter turns his rifle on it. It is black with a white stripe, and its small round cabin looks like an MD 500. The series has flown that shape before, armed: GTA V’s Buzzard Attack Chopper is based on the AH-6, the military version of the same family.
At 14:21 a cruiser takes fire, hits a utility pole and tips onto its side. By 14:41 the police have closed a street around a burning wreck, with a city bus marked VICE CITY waiting at the far end.

Four stars out of six
The corner of the screen tells its own story. During the chase the wanted meter shows four lit stars, with room for six. GTA V stopped at five.
Under the stars sit four red icons. SVG’s Joe Roberts reads them as what the police know about you: that there are two of you, what you look like, what you wear and what you drive. SVG also gathers what Rockstar North’s Rob Nelson told IGN about the system. The police respond only when a witness sees a crime or an alarm goes off, and changing clothes or splitting up helps you lose them.
The trailers showed the police in cutaways. The Extended Look puts them in the mirror.
The second wave (15:14 to 15:48)
After a short break the chase picks up again. A Vicebeach cruiser waits beyond a garage exit at 15:14, and a pickup cuts across a shopping street at 15:23.
At 15:38 a dark SUV with blue lights crosses an intersection while a passenger leans out of a sedan to fire at it. It has no markings we could read, so we filed it as a tactical unit. Its three-row shape looks like a recent Dodge Durango, newer than the first-generation model behind GTA Online’s Dorado Cruiser.

At 15:43 four sightings land in the same second, as cruisers and pickups converge on one intersection. Among them is a white SUV with a black push bar, the Explorer-based SUV we first saw on the highway in Trailer 2. The helicopter is back overhead at 15:46.
The sequence ends at 15:48, with two cruisers stopping at a corner signed Thompson Ave. That is the shot at the top of this page, and it holds the best detail in the video. On the left car’s trunk, above VICEBEACH POLICE, a badge reads BRAVADO. A second one by the taillight reads BUFFALO.
It is the first model name we have read on any GTA VI emergency vehicle. GTA V’s Bravado Buffalo was a Dodge Charger, and in April 2026 GTA Online added the Buffalo STX Pursuit, a police car based on the same 2015 to 2023 Charger Pursuit. The badge fits what the cruiser’s shape suggested. Whether the game calls it a Buffalo STX Pursuit or something new, we will know in November.
A last pursuit (18:10 to 18:44)
A shorter chase starts near the 18-minute mark. Two masked riders on a motorcycle cross SW 4th St while police sedans close in. Two of those sedans are new to us. They wear white with a blue stripe, a round emblem and POLICE lettering, like the Vice City Police Taurus, but on the boxy body of a Crown Victoria. We read no agency name on them, so Vice City Police is a likely match, not a reading. GTA IV and GTA V players know that body as the Vapid Stanier.
By 18:43 it is night. On a downtown boulevard hung with KEEP VICE NICE banners, a passenger in a red convertible fires back at a pale SUV leading the pursuit. It looks like a newer Explorer-based Interceptor Utility. We filed it as a sheriff’s SUV, though no markings were legible. One of the white and green sedans from the earlier trailers is in the same pursuit.

One ambulance (0:07)
The chase is not the only emergency response in the video. In its first seconds, as two people walk down a dark street, an ambulance with red roof lights waits at the far end. Its white box body with a red stripe looks like a Type III ambulance, built on a van chassis. It is the first ambulance we have filed from any official GTA VI material.

Counted from our catalog. Every sighting is listed with its timestamp on the Extended Look timeline.
Vicebeach Police takes the lead. The name was already on a cruiser in one of Rockstar’s May 2025 screenshots. Here it covers 18 of the 28 sightings, more than any other force. The name reads like Miami Beach, the city across the bay from Miami, which runs its own police department.
Police you play against. The trailers cut away after a second or two. This video stays with one chase for two minutes, with the HUD on screen, and shows what the police do while you run: block streets, send a helicopter, crash.
Our model guesses mostly hold. The Buffalo badge confirms the Charger reading on the main cruiser. The Crown Victoria shape, the Taurus and the Explorer-based SUVs from the trailers are all back.
Every sighting, with its exact second, is on the Extended Look timeline. YouTube age-restricts the video, so it cannot be embedded here; the timeline links each moment to Rockstar’s upload instead.
