Rockstar released the second Grand Theft Auto VI trailer on May 6, four days after moving the game to May 26, 2026. The first trailer belonged to Lucia. This one, at 2 minutes 47 seconds on Rockstar’s YouTube channel, follows Jason and Lucia as a pair, and the trouble they find together.
That trouble brings the police. We filed eight sightings of emergency vehicles, fewer than the 14 in Trailer 1. But two forces put their names on screen this time, and five of the eight sightings come from chases.
A street stop by the murals (0:45 to 0:49)
The police appear 45 seconds in, seen from the driver’s seat of a passing car. Officers hold several people against a wall painted with Haitian flags and portraits. A white sedan with a dark blue stripe sits at the curb, its light bar on. Across its trunk runs the name VICE CITY POLICE, the first city force we have read in a GTA VI trailer.
Down the street, a second car waits with its door open. It is a black sedan with a gold stripe and a gold door badge, red and blue lights flashing behind its windshield. We filed it as a sheriff’s car from those gold markings. No name is legible on it, so treat that as a guess.

The Drive’s Byron Hurd caught the same pairing on launch day: one cruiser styled after a Ford Taurus, one after a Crown Victoria. We read them the same way. The white car has the squared roof and short tail of the Ford Police Interceptor Sedan, the Taurus-based car behind GTA V’s Vapid Police Interceptor. The black one has the long, boxy body of the Crown Victoria, which GTA IV and GTA V turned into the Vapid Stanier.
The white car is not new, either. Trailer 1 showed a white sedan with a blue stripe at the dirt bike intersection, seen from a news helicopter. This one wears the same livery, and now we know whose it is.
A doubtful one in an alley (1:46)
At 1:46, a shot from above shows a woman on the ground in a littered alley at night. The white hood of a car pokes into the corner of the frame, and the walls glow red and purple. That could be a police car with its lights on. It could just as well be any car under a neon sign. We filed it for the light on the walls, but it is the weakest sighting in this trailer.
The highway ambush (1:57 to 1:58)
The biggest police scene comes near the two-minute mark. On a highway between overpasses, Lucia fires from the back of the getaway vehicle at the cars chasing it. Three are close behind: an armored truck with blue lights in its grille, a white sedan and a white SUV with a black push bar.

The blast tips the SUV onto two wheels. A split second later the sedan is in the air, and its side becomes readable: a thin green stripe, green POLICE lettering on the door, a small gold badge.
The SUV has the high nose and slim headlights of a Ford Police Interceptor Utility, the Explorer-based SUV that also seemed to appear in Trailer 1. We still know of no earlier GTA vehicle built on it.
The armored truck is the new arrival. Its boxy body, flat split windshield and slatted grille armor look like a Lenco BearCat, an armored truck built for police tactical teams. GTA V’s Brute Police Riot took its front end from the BearCat G3, so a successor would make sense. We filed the truck under NOOSE, the federal tactical agency of GTA IV and GTA V.
Trailer 1 showed Leonida’s police at work. Trailer 2 shows them losing cars.
A name on a helicopter (2:27 to 2:28)
Near the end, a police helicopter flies low over the sea beside a wooden speedboat. It comes close enough to read: POLICE in green on the cabin, VICE-DALE beneath a large gold badge, green and yellow stripes along the bottom. The rounded cabin and skids fit the Eurocopter AS350 family behind GTA V’s Police Maverick, though from this angle the match is loose.

One second later, the trailer explains the name. A dirt bike rider heads for an intersection where police lights flash through the smoke. The highway sign above it points to I-404 East, Mariana County and Vice-Dale County, and a welcome sign at the corner names the town as Port Gellhorn. We could not make out the police car itself, only its light bar.

So Vice-Dale is a county, and its police fly helicopters. The name reads like a nod to Miami-Dade, the real county around Miami, and so do the colors: Miami-Dade’s county force drives green and white vehicles. In the real world that force has answered to an elected sheriff since January 2025, after a 2018 change to Florida’s constitution required every county to elect one.
The sedan flipped on the highway wore the same green and white as the helicopter. It may belong to Vice-Dale too, but that is a guess: no name was legible on the car.

Counted from our catalog. Every sighting is listed with its timestamp on the Trailer 2 timeline.
The forces have names. Trailer 1 gave us one, the Leonida County Sheriff. Trailer 2 adds the Vice City Police and the Vice-Dale Police, and its road signs add two counties, Mariana and Vice-Dale. Leonida looks set to split policing between cities and counties, the way Miami’s city police and Miami-Dade’s county force do.
The police are under fire. Trailer 1 mostly showed them at crash scenes and on the local news. Here they chase Jason and Lucia on the highway, over the sea and through Port Gellhorn, and lose at least one car doing it.
The fleet is the same. The Taurus-based sedan, the Crown Victoria shape and the Explorer-based SUV were all in Trailer 1. Only the armored truck is new. There are no lifeguards this time, no ambulance and no fire truck: every sighting is law enforcement.
Rockstar also posted 70 screenshots and new artwork the same day, with more police in them. We go through those in a separate piece.
None of the vehicles has an official name yet. Every sighting, with its exact second, is on the Trailer 2 timeline.
