On June 18, Rockstar posted a 33-second video on its X account. It revealed the official cover art and announced that pre-orders open on June 25, as Dexerto reported the same day. The art is now on Rockstar’s artwork page in several formats.
The cover follows the series’ collage style: Jason and Lucia in the middle, surrounded by panels with a helicopter, a speedboat, a yellow supercar and an alligator. One panel has a police car in it, and it is a car we know.
Behind the wheelie
In the bottom right panel, a rider in a helmet pulls a wheelie on a pink and purple sport bike in front of a two-story motel. Right behind the bike, a police sedan has its light bar on.
The car is white, with a thin green stripe along its side, a round gold and green badge on the door and a black push bar. That is the livery of the white and green sedans we have filed since Trailer 1. One waits at the edge of the rollover scene in Trailer 1, and another is the sedan flipped by Lucia’s blast on the highway in Trailer 2, green POLICE lettering on its door.
Which force it belongs to, the cover does not say. The Vice-Dale Police helicopter in Trailer 2 wears the same green and white, so Vice-Dale is a reasonable guess, but we have never read a name on one of these cars.
The same car in motion
The animated version of the cover, from Rockstar’s announcement video, shows the same panel with the car’s lights flashing.
The push bar and the wide, low nose fit the Dodge Charger Pursuit sold from 2015 to 2023. GTA Online got its own police version of that car in April, the Bravado Buffalo STX Pursuit, which we covered then. The match is ours, based on the drawing; the cover gives no model name.
The rest of the cover
The other vehicles on the cover are not emergency vehicles, as far as we can tell. The helicopter over the skyline is blue and white, with floats and no markings. The speedboat and the yellow supercar carry no lights.
That makes the cover’s single police car a small detail, but a telling one: Rockstar chose the green and white car seen since Trailer 1. Pre-orders open on June 25.
